The longevity of Alpha Kappa Alpha is grounded in the strength and creative talents of her leaders. Members of the the sorority serve in various leadership positions on the chapter, regional and international levels.

The Mid-Atlantic region has produced seventeen dynamic regional directors, two intellectual international presidents, one sensational second international vice-president and a number of committed international committee representatives and cluster coordinators. The continuous, unwavering support and dedication of her leaders will allow Alpha Kappa Alpha members to continue to be of service to all mankind.

Regional Director
The regional director is responsible for supervising the activities of the chapters in the region.

Cluster Coordinator
The cluster coordinator serves to assist the regional director in maintaining an open line of communication between the regional director and the chapters in each cluster.

International Committee Representatives
Members serving on standing or special committees represent the region on an international level.

Regional Appointments
Members who have regional appointments are involved in the day-to-day operations of the region, as it relates to their respective committee role.
