The cluster concept is organized to facilitate the work of the regional director. Clusters provide an opportunity for the regional director to communicate the needs, programs and policies of Alpha Kappa Alpha. They also allow her to receive input from the region so that she may share that feedback with the Directorate and other chapters. Clusters remain an important tool to be utilized by the regional director in interpreting Alpha Kappa Alpha policies and programs.
