Greetings from the Marvelous Mid-Atlantic Region!

The Mid-Atlantic Region is one of ten regions that collectively form Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; the nation's first black Greek letter sorority. This region covers the east coast states of North Carolina and Virginia and has produced two national presidents, three national parliamentarians, two national treasurers, a national secretary, an Ivy Leaf editor-in-chief and a plethora of national committee representatives.

Since 1953, chapters within the Mid-Atlantic Region have been the ultimate stewards of community service within their local communities. From the oldest chapter in the region, Delta Omega in Petersburg, VA to the newest, Psi Gamma Omega in Hillsborough, NC, the 5,400 women who make their home in this region continue to be supreme in service to all mankind.

As we move towards the beginning of our centennial anniversary, the Mid-Atlantic's website will provide continuous access to the region's chapter directories, leadership contact information, centennial celebration events plus updates regarding local, regional and national sorority conferences.
